The switch body is solid metal, coated in a durable PU paint that's UV stabilised — a sensible choice if the plate faces a window. Five detail kit colours are on offer: steel, brass, black, smoked bronze or white.
Inside each kit you get a dimmer knob and coin screws. Match black to the plate for an understated look, or push a brass knob against it and let the contrast do the talking.
